The 登录入口 Art Gallery will host a solo exhibition for professional visiting
artist, Allison Reho, titled “There are no Nests in the Pines,” from Jan. 12-April
1, 2026.
The exhibition is free and open to the public during GC’s normal hours of operation
on the third floor of the college’s Fine Arts Building, in Room FA-318, located at
4015 Ave. Q, in Galveston.
Reho, a Beaumont native who has resided in New Orleans for the past decade, was trained
as a painter, but her two-dimensional work verged on sculpture. Her process is one
of adding and subtracting. With clay, this looks like coiling, carving, painting in
many layers and multiple firings. Reho's work captures and holds the relationships
that have defined her life. Clay's forgiving nature means that she can imprint and
create works that are a direct impression of her physical and emotional state.
A closing reception for Reho will be held at the 艺廊 on April 1 at 11 a.m.,
with an artist talk at 11:15 a.m. The 艺廊 is located at the college's main
campus at 4015 Avenue Q in Galveston.
An artist workshop will be held following the reception and artist talk on April 1,
at 12 p.m., in GC’s Ceramics Studio, located in Room FA-323. The workshop is free
and open to the public. 空间有限。 如欲参加工作坊,请电邮 [email protected].
