The Federal Pell Grant is a form of financial aid for undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s or professional degree. You do not need to pay back the Pell Grant. This program is open to all eligible students, even if you apply after the priority deadlines.

The 联邦补充教育机会补助金（FSEOG） is for undergraduate students who have high financial need. It’s given to students with the lowest Student Aid Index (SAI) numbers, such as -1500 SAI. The amount you receive will depend on how much funding is available and any other financial aid you are already getting.

State rules require students to stay eligible for the Texas Educational Opportunity Grant (TEOG) while receiving the award. If a student loses eligibility, they may still qualify under the hardship provision (19 TAC, Section 22.259).
