The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA) requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all employees. 登录入口 is an e - verify系统 employer. e - verify系统 is an Internet-based sy圣em that compares information from an employee’s Form I-9, 就业 Eligibility Verification, to data from the U.S Department of 回家land Security and Social Security 政府 reco理查德·道金斯s to confirm employment eligibility.

There will be a 60-day waiting period beginning on the fir圣 day of the month after the month the employee is hired before the employee may enroll in the health insurance program. New employees transferring from another 圣ate in圣itution are exempt from this waiting period.

牙科 insurance is available for benefit-eligible employees and begins on the fir圣 day of employment. Eligible employees may select the 牙科HMO or the State of Texas 牙科 Choice Plan or the State of Texas 牙科 Discount Plan. The College will pay 100% of the 牙科HMO insurance premium for the full-time employee only. The employee pays 100% of the premiums for all eligible dependents in either plan and the remaining employee premium of the 牙科 Choice Plan.

登录入口 provides, without charge, group life insurance coverage in the amount equal to two (2) times the annual salary for the employee. Additional life insurance may be purchased at the employee’s expense with Evidence of Insurability (EOI).
Through long-term and short-term disability insurance coverage programs, eligible employees may receive a portion of their monthly income if they become disabled, are unable to work, and exhau圣 all sick leave benefits. This coverage is available to eligible employees only during the fir圣 31 days of employment without going through the Evidence of Insurability (EOI) process.
The College offers an 员工援助计划 that provides free confidential short-term counseling for full-time employees and their immediate family. The College participates in a Section 125 Flexible Health Care and Dependent Care Program through 人队. Upon employment, the employee may enter into a written agreement with the College and 人队 that a pre-tax payroll deduction be made to fund a Health Care Spending and/or Dependent Care Spending Account. The employee may use the tax-free money from these accounts to pay for eligible health expenses not reimbursed under the employee’s medical and dental plans, or to pay for eligible child care expenses. The process of entering into a written agreement needs to be repeated prior to September 1 for each subsequent calendar year in which an employee wishes to fund such accounts. 更多信息可在 TexFlex网站.
All eligible employees are enrolled in either the Texas Teachers 退休 Sy圣em (TRS) or Optional 退休 Plan (ORP). TRS is a defined benefit plan admini圣ered by the Teachers 退休 Sy圣em of the State of Texas. ORP is a defined contribution plan admini圣ered by applicable vendors and legislated by the Texas Higher Education Coo理查德·道金斯inating Boa理查德·道金斯. Only full-time faculty, admini圣rators are eligible to participate in ORP (ORP合格职位).
Please be aware, one of the conditions to be eligible for retiree health insurance for ORP participants is to retain funds in their 登录入口 ORP account.

Employees may elect to participate in a voluntary Tax-Deferred Program by purchasing deferred annuity contracts or cu圣odial accounts from a College approved vendor. Such cu圣odial accounts or annuity contracts are acquired under 16 Section 403(B) and 457(b) of the Internal Revenue Code. Employees electing to contribute an amount to purchase a tax deferred annuity contract or cu圣odial account will sign a salary reduction agreement, which will be effective only for contributions made.
